On Friday 27th September the Mini Vinnies hosted a coffee morning to support the Macmillan Coffee Morning Scheme.
The Mini Vinnies are the youngest members of the St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP), an international Christian voluntary organisation dedicated to tackling poverty in all its forms by providing practical assistance to people in need. They get together in their primary school to live out their mission of see, think, do, supporting their school community and beyond alongside the SVP.
The day before the Mini Vinnies, Year 6 children and Miss Hodgson made some chocolate chip cookies and chocolate chip shortbread. They were also supported by the Kitchen Staff Rachel and Maxine who made some delicious cakes.
On the Friday morning they welcomed the parents into the school and served them with biscuits and cakes while the adults served the hot drinks.
It was a very enjoyable morning and raised over £93.15 for Macmillan.
